This captivating timepiece features a standing cast metal figure of a woman, draped in flowing robes billowing in the breeze. In her right hand, she gracefully holds a set of dividers, while her left hand delicately supports the pendulum. The pendulum itself boasts a long brass rod with a beveled glass bob, adorned with a gilt finish; she stands upon a gilt brass platform, elegantly signed "PH. Mourey."

As the movement operates, it gently swivels the platform and figure, first clockwise and then counter-clockwise, causing the pendulum to swing and regulate the clock's timekeeping. The 4-inch white onyx dial showcases applied pierced brass Roman hour numerals, complemented by gilt spade hands and a gilt brass bezel; the round French brass 8-day spring-driven movement is signed "GLT" (Guilmet), has a half-hour count wheel strike on a single bell.

Encased within a fluted plinth-style white onyx case, accented with gilt metal ribbon, corbel, shield mounts, and feet, the clock stands proudly atop a gilt carved wood platform base.
