French Bronze & Glass Torsion Pendulum Table Clock (c.1904)

This exquisite French Bronze & Glass Torsion Pendulum Clock features a 4-inch porcelain dial signed "Farcy, Paris - Pendule 400 Jours." It has open moon hands, a fancy gilt brass bezel, and a hinged door adorned with heavy beveled crystal and intricate filigree, wreath, and ribbon mounts. The clock operates with a brass 400-day spring-driven time-only movement and a torsion pendulum, in excellent running condition, bearing D.R.P No. 144688 and U.S.P. No. 751686, with a serial number of 11049.

The case is crafted with four heavy glass sides and a heavy beveled glass top, complemented by gilt repousse bronze trim. The dark brown patina bronze base features sphinx and flaming urn mounts. Access to the pendulum compartment is through a rear trap door hinged at the top. This clock stands in excellent condition with no damage, measuring 14.5 inches high, 8 inches wide, and 7.5 inches deep. Made circa 1904.
