A flower opens at the hand — five rounded petals of pavé diamond carrying a single white pearl at the centre, the whole composition built in 18-karat white gold so the metal reads as quiet structure rather than ornament. Mikimoto, the house that taught the world how to culture an Akoya in 1893, treats the pearl here as the still point of a moving form; the diamonds suggest the petal's edge, the pearl is the heart. Worn on the right hand, the ring keeps its scale — large enough to register across a dinner table, contained enough to live on a working hand. It is one of those rare cocktail pieces that does not raise its voice. Vienna estate, authenticated in-house.
