About the Mabe Pearl
A Mabe pearl (also written "mabé") is a hemispherical cultured pearl grown against the inner shell of the oyster rather than free within the tissue. The result is a flat-backed, dome-faced gem whose breadth gives it real presence on the hand — something a comparably priced round pearl cannot match. Set in 18K white gold, the cool metal frames the pearl's silver-white sheen without competing for attention.
