Created by André Romain Guilmet in Paris around 1880, this lighthouse table clock is an exceptional industrial automaton in bronze and copper with silvered sections and gilt detailing. The eight-day movement is housed in the rotating top, modelled as a lighthouse lantern, while an aneroid barometer sits opposite the rotating section. Each dial is framed by a thermometer — one calibrated in degrees Celsius, the other in degrees Fahrenheit — and the rotating mechanism is driven by a gear shaft and winding mechanism at the base.
