A black guilloché dial — engine-turned in concentric rings — anchors three pieces of mechanical theatre at once: a jumping-hour aperture at twelve, a retrograde minutes arc above, and a retrograde date arc below. The case marries 18K yellow gold with stainless steel, the construction Gérald Genta favoured for his own-brand pieces because the two metals catch light differently and read as one architectural decision rather than two compromises. Reference G3714.7.88.501.90/BT is Swiss-made, automatic, sapphire crystal, black crocodile strap, roughly 36–40mm in diameter. Genta (1931–2011) drew the Royal Oak in 1972 and the Nautilus in 1976 for Audemars Piguet and Patek Philippe; the atelier he founded in 1969 in Geneva is where the bi-retrograde architecture became proprietary signature rather than commissioned exercise. Authenticated at Almaz Vienna.
