Carrera y Carrera "Sirena Burbuja" necklace from the Atlantis collection, modelled in 18 kt (18 K, 750/000) white gold and set with brilliant-cut diamonds and a rock-crystal quartz centre. The pendant measures approximately 28 mm and is suspended on a 45 cm (450 mm) anchor chain; the diamond pavé totals approximately 0.40 ct, with each stone hand-set into the mermaid's bubble. The Atlantis collection is the maison's most cinematic body of work: undersea scenes in three-dimensional gold, modelled by hand in Madrid and finished with the alternation of mattified and high-polished surfaces that has been the Carrera y Carrera signature since 1885 — more than 140 years of Spanish goldsmithing.
About the Atlantis collection
Atlantis builds an entire imaginary undersea world in sculptural 18 kt gold: mermaids, bubbles, waves and shells, each piece composed as a small relief. The Sirena Burbuja motif places the mermaid inside a quartz bubble — a hallmark Carrera y Carrera composition that pairs the maison's intaglio gold-work with a clear gemstone "window".
