This exquisite antique mystery clock features a beautifully patinated bronze case with exceptional casting details. The frame of the dial is designed to resemble leaves, adorned with charming flowers at the top and bottom. The dial is supported by a finely cast cherub or putti, kneeling and holding a vase of flowers that connect seamlessly to the dial surround.
The entire piece is mounted on a cylindrical base, accented with a decorative wreath-like mount at the front, and is supported by three elegantly shaped feet.
Dial: The clock features an opaque glass dial with black Roman numerals. The center of the dial is adorned with intricate gilt, engine-turned detailing, and is complemented by two finely shaped hands.
Movement: The clock is powered by a fusee pocket watch or sedan-type movement, wound from the back. It ticks for several hours when undisturbed but may require servicing to ensure continuous operation.
