A French figural "mystery" mantel clock, circa 1890, offered by Almaz Atelier in Vienna. The case is built around a finely chased gilt bronze figure of a child holding a staff, mounted on a stepped white marble base — the decorative-figure composition that gives these late-19th-century timepieces their "figural" and "mystery clock" name.
